ITV launched its Christmas idents at 8.15pm on Saturday 7th December 2013. The set of idents were supplemented by additional idents in 2014, along with snowflakes added to the channel's trailers. All the idents (except the Thunderbirds special) returned on 1st December 2015, and again on 3rd December 2016.

Two special idents used in ITV's 'Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day' show on Friday 18th December 2015. The knitted pug ident introduced a commercial break in which all the adverts were animated with knitted figures and scenes.
