Holding animation shown on UKTV channels before opening and at closedown. This version was recorded December 2012.


When UKTV introduced corporate branding to its on-screen presentation in March 2013, the holding animation was changed to this 'star system' animation.


On 15th May 2013, Really updated its presentation and the animation was updated.


The third version of the animation followed the closure of Blighty and the launch of Drama on 8th July 2013.


An updated UKTV 'star system' from the early hours of 17th July 2014 following the introduction of GOLD's new look. It also incorporates the now circle-less Dave logo.




Following the launch of 'W' to replace 'Watch' on 15th February 2016, the UKTV 'star system' was updated to incorporate the channel change.


Following the split of UKTV's channels – with Good Food, Home and Really moving to Discovery Network's ownership – a new filler with the slimmed-down line-up was introduced from 11th June 2019.


From the early hours of 29th March 2022, an updated filler following the introduction of a new logo for 'W' on Monday 28th March 2022.






In August 2013, UKTV made several of its channels' content available On Demand. These are the stings that precede OD programming.

In September 2017, a new single UKTV-wide front-cap was introduced.
Discovery Networks International














Recorded March 2013, this is the ident used by Discovery for programmes shown on Sky's On Demand service. Note that this includes graphics for the obsolete Real Time channel, and old graphics for Home & Health and Investigation Discovery.






Follow the launch of TLC in May 2013 and other changes to Discovery's family of channels, the On Demand ident has been updated.

Miscellaneous






The ident of the European Broadcasting Union, made famous by its playout before and after the Eurovision Song Contest each year. This latest ident first aired in 2009 and is the evolution of its static predecessor, with a finer quality recording of the hymn 'Te Deum'.
