On 22nd October 2010, Channel 4 refreshed its presentation with updated trailers, bumpers and menus. At the same time, more idents were added to the channel's distinctive 'blink-and-you'll-miss-it' set of idents.
Scrap Yard ident. This ident originally aired in 3D as part of Channel 4's '3D Week' in November 2009. From 22nd October 2010, it joined the main ident portfolio in its 2D version.

In September 2010, Channel 4 secured the broadcast rights for the 2011 and 2012 IAAF World Athletics Championships after the BBC had shown them for the past 27 years. The 2011 event lasts from 27th August to 4th September, and Channel 4 has recruited the Olympic 100m champion Usain Bolt to feature in this special ident for the occasion. This, its first airing, was shown at 9pm on 8th August.
