In December 2004, Channel 4 launched a completely new look on-air with idents that in the main present everyday views, but with the '4' logo incorporated briefly as all the elements merge and then part.
For 1st April 2011, Channel 4 broadcast a number of their idents edited to remove the '4' logo.
