The only real difference between the trailers introduced in 2005 and the current ones is that the ITV logo has changed to black to match the idents.
An unfortunate part of modern television presentation is that of the 'end credit promotion' - the art of advertising upcoming programmes over closing titles. ITV1's new style is to make the credits very small so as to create a lot of space which can be filled with really large text - here showing what's on next on ITV1 and two other ITV channels.

Gone are the yellow barcode stripes to be replaced by a simple black background with gentle floating glimmers of light.
An alternative style, reminiscent of LWT in the 1990s, has red, white and blue squares tumbling over the endboard.
