Launched as 'The Paramount Channel' in November 1995, and having been 'Paramount Comedy Channel', 'Paramount Comedy' and lastly 'Paramount Comedy 1', April 2009 saw its latest incarnation as 'Comedy Central' a UK version of the American channel with added British content.
