From time to time, BBC TWO will mark certain programmes or seasons with themed idents and presentation. This selection is from 2007 onwards.

To mark a season of 'back to nature' programming during May 2008, BBC TWO filmed a series of four new idents to complement the strand. Each ident builds on the 'window on the world' theme of the channel's main ident set, by looking through a '2'-shaped hole in a tree trunk to a woodland feature. The first is of a small waterfall.

Other idents are created specifically for indvidual programmes - here for the US series 'Heroes' (Aug 2007).

This ident is for the reality series 'The Restaurant' (Sep 2007).

'Torchwood' interrupts the Zoetrope ident at the start of the second series. (January 16th 2008)

Ident used to introduce the 2008 season of programmes from the BBC Electric Proms.

A new strand of comedy called 'Thursdays are Funny' launched October 4th 2007 with special branding and idents in a black, white and orange stripes theme.
The first ident, here, is preceded by a small visual sting featuring Jennifer Saunders as Vivienne Vyle.

A simple sting advertising the related website address for the strand goes before this second ident.

And in front of the third ident, a sting featuring Peter Serafinowicz.

On July 10th 2008, when the comedy strand returned, it did so but just as 'Thursdays'. The idents were tweaked with 'are funny' removed and backgrounds added.

At the end of the 'Thursdays' strand, a short 'Back Next Thursday' animation.
