As analogue television transmissions come to an end in the UK with the switchover to digital television in Northern Ireland on 24th October 2012, UTV has refreshed its presentation with new idents, a new jingle, and a new strapline - 'Part of U'.
Landscapes are very much the theme of the idents on-air from 12th October, whilst the 3D 'glass' logo animation introduced with the new-look of 2nd January 2011 has been retained - but only in pale blue.

Used to introduce the new 'Milk Tray' advert shown during a commercial break in 'The X Factor' on 8th October 2016, this ident is interesting as it comes just prior to the expected refresh of UTV's presentation in the ITV style. The most obvious indications of the changes to come are the placement of the UTV logo to the left and, of course, the ITV ident music.
