After the introduction of the multicolour ident for the channel's 40th birthday in November 2022, and the launch of the bold green '4' along with new presentation at the start of May 2023, Channel 4's new set of idents launched at 6.55pm on Wednesday 14th June 2023.

The idents comprise selections from a set of twenty-five scenes that depict modern Britain as seen through the eyes of a group of independent creatives, artists and filmmakers. Their brief was to interpret the themes of Identity, The Land, System, Release and Love. The iconic logo (not in garish green) is back front and centre as the idents loop through the scenes through the logo itself.

The launch featured a one-off broadcast of the complete set accompanied by the specially commissioned words of British writer John Joseph Holt.
The twenty-five scenes that together comprise a glimpse of modern British life.
