Sky Movies 007

On Friday 5th October 2012, Sky Movies Showcase was renamed Sky Movies 007 as BSkyB gained the rights from MGM for all television screenings of the EON Productions' Bond movie franchise in the UK. The event marks the 50th anniversary of the first release - Dr. No - which was also the first film to be screened on the new channel. On 11th February 2013, Sky Movies Modern Greats was rebranded Sky Movies 007 to allow Sky Movies Oscars to air in the Sky Movies Showcase slot.
