On 1st February 2011, along with many of Sky's other channels, Sky Movies received a brand new look with an epic animation used to introduce each film. The sequence - which is used by all the movie channels - starts and ends on a different scene for each genre.

Sky Movies Disney

On 28th March 2013, Sky launched its new Sky Movies Disney channel - the first co-branded Disney film channel in the world. As part of the launch, Disney Cinemagic and Sky Movies Classics ceased broadcasting, Sky Movies Modern Greats became Sky Movies Greats and Sky Movies Indie rebranded as Sky Movies Select - the content of the three former Sky channels being merged into the two new channels.

On 28th March 2014, Sky Movies Disney introduced a new ident to mark its first anniversary. Watch closely as it includes references to many Disney films and characters.
