Christmas came to Channel 5 on Friday 21st December 2017. Unlike 2016, there are festive idents this season. Last year's Christmas trailer animations returned.
The main Advent Calendar ident shown from 1st December with the focus changing each day to the relevant number on the gift boxes. However, for whatever reason, it wasn't used on the 24th or 25th being replaced with the channel's standard idents.
