DMAX originally launched as a men's lifestyle channel in Germany in 2006. In November 2007 Discovery announced the launch of a UK version which went to air on 8th January 2008. On 22nd March 2010 it was relaunched as a youth oriented channel with new presentation celebrating 'the quirky side of life'. The idents were creative produced by Discovery Creative with Double-G Studios.
