Sky Atlantic : 2011 Idents
Following a deal in July 2010 between Sky and HBO, it was announced on 1st October 2010 that a new channel would launch in 2011 to showcase HBO's output in the UK, as well as featuring the best in US and UK entertainment.
Sky Atlantic arrived on air on 1st February 2011 - its identity and presentation created by Heavenly Group Ltd, London. The theme devised is bridging the Atlantic by contrasting similar scenes from both sides of the ocean.
During March 2012, two of the idents received new arrangements of the music. Then later in July 2012, all the idents were re-edited with an updated more three-dimensional logo and yet further re-arrangements of the signature theme.
