In 2009, CBS Studios International in a joint venture deal with Chellomedia launched CBS-branded channels to replace the Chello Zone group of channels in the UK. CBS Action - as its name suggests - features mainly classic American action and adventure series such as 'Star Trek', 'JAG' and 'Walker, Texas Ranger'.

In Summer 2011, the channel's idents were refreshed with new animations retaining the established CBS-style.
