On Tuesday 1st October 2013, BBC Three said 'goodbye' to the Little People and ThreeWorld forever as a set of new look idents was introduced to refresh the channel's branding. Designed by Red Bee Media, they are based on the theme of 'Discovery' and link to comedy, entertainment and factual programming.

At the beginning of December 2013, testing began of HD streams of BBC Three, Four, News Channel, CBBC and CBeebies before their launch on 10th December 2013. The HD videos of the idents below were recorded during this testing period - and benefit from having no announcements over them.
