The Capture

The seconds series of BBC ONE's mystery thriller began airing on Sunday 28th August 2022. It was the first programme to be accompanied by special ident in the 'Lens' series - albeit a modified one already in use.

First shown the day before on Saturday 27th August, 'The Capture' ident is an edited version of Market (Aftermath) with simulated video-surveillance effects added. This recording is from before the first episode.

Eurovision Song Contest 2023

Following Ukraine's win in 2022, it was decided that the UK as second placed entry would host the event on Ukraine's behalf in 2023. During 'The One Show' on Friday 7th October 2022, it was announced that Liverpool would be the host city on Saturday 13th May 2023.

Immediately following 'The One Show' this special animation was shown - here with the announcers from Network, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

A so-called 'stunt trail' for the final episode of 'Frozen Planet II' was broadcast at the end of 'EastEnders' on Wednesday 12th October 2022. The familiar overhead view of East London and the River Thames was shown with the potential effects of sea levels rising from global warming.
